Je naprosto kl\u00ed\u010dov\u00e9 zajistit, aby nemovitost nebyla podpoji\u0161t\u011bna, co\u017e znamen\u00e1, \u017ee by byla poji\u0161t\u011bna na \u010d\u00e1stku ni\u017e\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e jej\u00ed aktu\u00e1ln\u00ed hodnota. Pokud by do\u0161lo k n\u011bjak\u00e9 katastrof\u011b, poji\u0161\u0165ovna by v\u00e1m toti\u017e vyplatila pen\u00edze podle v\u00fd\u0161e pojistn\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1stky uveden\u00e9 ve smlouv\u011b, nikoliv podle skute\u010dn\u00e9 hodnoty nemovitosti v sou\u010dasnosti. Pokud tedy m\u00e1te nap\u0159\u00edklad pojist\u011bn\u00fd byt za 2 miliony K\u010d, kter\u00fd se dnes ji\u017e prod\u00e1v\u00e1 za 4 miliony K\u010d, a v byt\u011b vznikne \u0161koda za 1 milion, poji\u0161\u0165ovna vyplat\u00ed pouze polovinu t\u00e9to \u010d\u00e1stky, proto\u017ee se \u0159\u00edd\u00ed hodnotou bytu ze dne uzav\u0159en\u00ed pojistn\u00e9 smlouvy. Je d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 si tuto skute\u010dnost uv\u011bdomit a m\u00edt na pam\u011bti, \u017ee v takov\u00e9 situaci nen\u00ed majetek pln\u011b poji\u0161t\u011bn. Kdy\u017e kupujete nemovitost, kter\u00e1 je zat\u00ed\u017eena hypot\u00e9kou, mus\u00ed b\u00fdt v ur\u010dit\u00e9 f\u00e1zi p\u0159evodu va\u0161\u00ed nemovitost\u00ed, kter\u00e1 zaji\u0161\u0165uje tento ciz\u00ed dluh.
